Our client is a manufacturer for automotive parts.

Due to recent new business wins this company is looking for an experienced automotive Project Manager to strengthen and lead the latest project to SOP. This vacancy offers the chance to take a leading role in delivering a novel e-drive solution onto the market.

As the project manager you will have a unique position to help steer and navigate the project to a successful conclusion, negotiating, mediating and driving the teams involved to a conclusion with your determination and communication skills.

Responsibilities and result areas:

• Set up milestones and maintain resource planning together with department managers for all in accordance with the customer contract, feasibility review and approved Allocation Request.
• Set up detailed project scope (D4) including financial, timing, volume, quality, resource and capacity targets and get formal approval from the different directors and CEO.
• Lead the project team with allocated resources from the different departments to accomplish the target as set in the D4.
• Follow up the project plan and activities per the Milestone planning and report monthly to the Steering Committee on all targets set for the specific program per the format.
• Initiate actions to remedy any deviations or roadblocks and get them approved.
• Organize periodic follow-up meetings with the customer.

Gezocht profiel

• Master degree in engineering
• Minimum 3 years as project manager in the Tier1/Tier2 automotive environment
• APQP in-depth knowledge and application in a project management role
• Project planning, analysis and communication skills
• Financial skills to track financial performance of the project
• Knowledge of electric powertrain and or transmission systems is preferred
• Knowledge of relevant customer (Specific) requirements is a plus
• Legal aspects and product safety: knowledge of social, financial and environmental regulations is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Analytical and data driven
• Ability to analyse complex interrelationships of tasks and priorities from a distance and make quick accurate judgements to maintain project momentum.
