Functie omschrijving

Our client is a leading global provider of solutions for the deposition of thin film coatings (components, targets, coaters & software), for example energy efficient glass, thin film display, thin film PV, electrochromics, thin film battery and web coatings.

The products and solutions possess a high degree of complexity while they operate at the heart of the thin film industry.4

They have a global manufacturing footprint with design, R&D, service, and sales organizations spread across the US, Europe and Asia.
They are certified in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001.

~ You are working in the R&D team that executes projects about PVD-coating on glass, both for customers or internally-financedX
~ These projects involve new types of coating, new machines of applying coating, new analysis techniques,

Generally, these projects start from zero to 85% completionX
~ You brainstorm with your colleagues about the necessary test set-ups, test schedules and measurement techniquesX
~ You translate the abstract requirements towards a workable frame for you and your colleagues

Gezocht profiel

~ You have a Áaster of Science in EngineeringX
~ You have relevant experience in at least one of the following areas: optical sciences, vacuum technology, material sciences, electrotechnical sciences, managing and executing R&D projects in generalX
~ You have a strong theoretical background with a practical mindset. This allows you to find practical solutions for complex problemsX
~ You have experience with various measurement techniques and methodsX
~ You can work autonomously and collaborate with your colleagues in the teamX
~ You have a hands-on mindset and are eager to take initiativeX
~ Traveling internationally (up to 10%) is an added value but not mandatoryX ~ You are fluent in English (written and spoken).
